Xi Ya Wei appointed Director of China Operations and Member of Mercury Composite Co. Ltd. Board of Directors

Dana Point, CA October 11, 2012 – Mercury Cable & Energy, Inc. (“Mercury Cable”), the leading developer of High Voltage Composite Reinforced Conductors (“HVCRC”) for electrical transmission lines, is pleased to announce the appointment of Xi Ya Wei (Cotton Hill) to the Board of Directors of Mercury Composite Co. Ltd. and to the position of Director of China Operations replacing Martin Wang in both of those roles.

His expertise includes: development of corporate policy and strategy, business development, contract negotiation, operations management, reliability assessments, capital planning, technical and economic analyses, review and oversight of books and records compiled to international accounting standards and asset based transaction analysis. Mr. Xi is extremely well connected in the electric transmission industry, including extensive relationships with China State Grid, China Southern Grid, Bao Steel and many others.
